Not much intensity to the aroma, but it smells great. Light pumpkin pie, sweet, and nutmeg. Just smells so fresh. Tastes spicey with lighter pumpkin notes. The cloves stand out a bit. Finishes a little spicey. Nice. TomDecapolis (3150), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of smooth pumpkin pie spices...clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla, pie crust and toasted almonds. Flavor of the same nice pumpkin pie spices as mentioned in the aroma. Some toasted and caramel malt, pie crust...well done pumpkin ale. poisoneddwarf (170), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 30, 2009 22 oz bottle. King of the Pumpkin Beers? I think so. After Blue Moon’s, Jack’s (Michelob), and Dogfish Head, this one’s the best. It has all the best attributes of pumpkin beer (which I’ve already mentioned in the previous reviews), but it’s better; more like tasting an actual pumpkin pie than a beer with pumpkin pie flavoring, more robust, more flavorful. It’s GREAT............................................. charlie brown (lame joke). brenn79 (162), Idaho, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 30, 2009 22 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy reddish amber with a nice head. Aroma is pumpkin and very spicy, the flavor is the same. By far the best pumpkin ale i’ve had. beersearcher (223), Glendale, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 30, 2009 Good not great, not enough pumpkin or pumpkin spices. Main flavor was licorice , not a fan. In any case a unique beer and good holiday beer, but not so much for a true pumpkin beer. marcus (1853), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 28, 2009 This reddish amber ale poured with a large fluffy beige head and a pumpkin pie aroma. There is a somewhat harsh vegetable flavor heavily laced with various spices atop a pretty good caramel malt base. A nice theme beer for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but not especially tasty. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2009 I’m not the biggest pumpkin beer fan, but this one is pretty damn good. It has quite a bit of pumpkin and spice, but the hop bitterness somehow balances things out. Toasty malts allow the aromas and spices to take the stage. Nice and wafty aromas of pumpkin pie, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Ginger is well placed, in the background. Definitely one of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had.
