CheersMate1 (770), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 23, 2008 This was a pretty good beer. Decent color, but I must say this beer had a strong cinnamon and nutmeg/pumpkin pie taste to it. Very delicious beer. Slightly creamy, but average palate. I enjoyed this beer due to its pumpkin pie flavor. Directed towards a sweeter taste, than a spicy taste. One of the "out West" purchases that I have made since being in Seattle. Nice spice beer with a wonderful direction towards sweet and spice. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Dec 13, 2008 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Nose: Pumpkin pie, mealt, and nutmeg. Taste is hte same is creamy and slightly like a real pumpkin and dirt. Kind of carbonated. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Dec 12, 2008 bottle thanks to bu11zeye. amber color with some cream froth. pumpkin and holiday spices on the nose. not bad on the palate with a pumpkin flavor that lasts throughout the finish. GuilTTy (527), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Dec 8, 2008 Bomber. Very hazy deep copper pour with a medium light tan head and very good lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and pumpkin bread. More of the same in the flavor with a pronounced maltiness and the addition of milk chocolate. Mildly creamy texture and a nice spicy finish. Not overly aggressive and pretty refreshing. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 29, 2008 Bottle as a generous bonus in trade from thethrone. Thanks!
Pours a nice clearish orange color with a lasting beige head. Smell is lightly lemony and pumpkin meatiness with some mild to moderate pumpkin pie spicing. Taste is a bit watery with more pumpkin flavor than the traditional pie spices. Nice attempt at a pumpkin beer, but was still a bit thin... Medium to thin body and light to medium carbonation. Guerde (693), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Nov 28, 2008 (bottle, courtesy of beerbill) Pours hazy orange with a scant white head. The aroma is not very strong, but it does possess all of the pumpkin pie scents. There’s the baked pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and even some crust along with a hint of vanilla. The aroma gets sweeter as it warms. The taste is lightly sweet at first, but gets sweeter, with some salt and this strange tartness right before the baked pumpkin kicks in. This baked pumpkin really asserts itself upon exhaling. Overall this is a pretty good pumpkin beer, and it paired well with a slice of pumpkin pie. Thanks Bill! TheEpeeist (1429), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 28, 2008 22 oz bottle. Clear topaz with a brief off-white head. Nose is dried apricots, cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium light with mild carb. Taste is blanched lemon peel and nutmeg with cinnamon, sweet corn and sour mash to finish. Not bad but not pumpkiny. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. A touch of the pumpkin and all of the spices come through in the aroma – every last one… clove, cinnamon, ginger, allspice and especially the nutmeg. Medium-bodied with bristly carbonation. Fantastic balance. The spices are all there, but dumbed down and a little bland. Finally sweetens up a bit and the spices come to the forefront in the lengthy finish. Kudos to brewbill for supplying the bottle!
