Bottle. Pours orange with thin white head. Aroma is pumpkin. Flavor is pumpkin and a little spice. Very nice pumpkin beer that lets the pumpkin take center stage.

Draught @ Headkeeper: This one pours a clear amber color. There was a wisp of an off white head. The nose is good. Lighter malts with some pumpkin pie spices. the taste is also good. Spices are up front, but almost too much cinnamon. Lighter malt behind the spices. Good.

Draft at the Bluegrass Festival. Not a great beer. Pumpkin was there, but the actual flavor and finish were watery and offputting.

Visual: (Cellared 3 years). Pours reddish brown without much head, thin hazy layer of retention, some bubbles here and there. Nose: brown sugar barley malt with background pumpkin spices. (lvl-7)-pungency Attack: sharp crisp, thicker mouthfeel, light tingly Mid-palate: cinnamon, toasted pumpkin sweet-dense, toffee barley malt, allspice, (lvl-7)-a tad cloying sweetness, brown sugar Finish: nutmeg-clove/root beer, lingering barley malt sweetness. Summary: Pretty smooth entry with a decent amount of pronounced spices and a medium bodied/short length barley malt backbone. It becomes slightly cloying and taxing on the palate halfway through a glass; Still the flavours are agreeable.

Deliciously strong cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg aromas from a murky pumpkin orange body with a thin white head. Those follow into the taste with a spicy ginger and cinnamon bite. Unlike some other "pumpkin spice" beers, this one actually has a taste of real pumpkin in it. It also tastes like beer with a good caramel malt flavor in the back and some earthy hop bitterness. The body is somewhat thin, even watery, but that’s not bad. Finishes with a lasting pumpkin pie spice flavor and spiciness. A well made and delicious pumpkin ale.

Bottle from Mitsuya. Pours a clear copper with a nice off-white head that lingers throughout. Huge pumpkin pie with whipped cream nose. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger with lightly roasted pumpkin aromas. Malt backbone balances out the spices well. Slightly sweet on the palate with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with lingering pumpkin pie flavor. Wonderful dessert beer.

Still trickling reviews in from 2015 tasting. Night Owl looked great in round 1 ( 2nd of 12), but fell short of the mark in the final losing out to its cousin Great Pumpkin (and 10 others ranked ahead of it). 12th of 25 overall. Smokey, cinamon aroma. charcoal, pumkin taste, with cinnamon and other spice finish. I had it higher than others tasting.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice orange copper color, pearly head, some lacing. Aroma is strongly spiced with clove and cinnamon. Some toffee malt and grassy hops as well. Flavor is medium sweetness, with a long bitter, spicy finish. Palate is perfect. Overall an excellent seasonal beer.

22FL OZ ($4.99 Bottle) one of the best pumpkin beers I’ve ever had. price is very very good for what you’re getting. this is close to what your mind is thinking when you grab for a pumpkin beer. this will not let you down.

Easy drinking, a good balance between fall spices and pumpkin flavor. Low carbonation, and a touch of sour similar to gose beer but not as severe. I’d buy again but wouldn’t go out of my way

Pours hazy light mahogany into a shaker. Soapy head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin aromas. Medium bodied with ginger, cinnamon and spice front to back.
