Pours a mahogany color. Smell is bursting with fresh baked pumpkin pie. Taste is mild by comparison, pumpkin, malts, some spice. Overall a pretty good beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This years batch is 5.8% ABV
A: Pours rusty orange with a creamy finger of tannish foam over the top of excellently clear beer. cobweb lace.
S: This beer is set apart from many of the pumpkins I’ve had based solely on the addition of ginger. This assures the beer has a baked tone on the nose for me. There’s of course the clove, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and semi sweet malts.
T: The beer is dominated a little more than would be preferred, and makes it a bit spicy. There is an interesting vanilla profile on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with lively carb and a semi dry finish.
O: This is a totally different take on the style, and I like it. I think they need to dial back the ginger just a bit, and help bring the body into coordination with the flavors.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
pours a clear orange color with a thin white head. aroma has very pie-like notes...doughy crust, mild spices and pumpkin...smells very nice. flavor follows suit...very authentic pie flavor...just a tad bit too much spice but still damn good. mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry and a bit over-spiced but not bad.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours slightly cloudy medium amber with an off-white head.
Pie spice aroma.
The flavor is Pumpkin pie spices.
A little bit of sharpness that detracts slightly but overall a pretty decent Pumpkin beer if you like the pie spice ones.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great tasting seasonal beer. It is brewed with real pumpkin, so one can taste pumpkin along with cinnamon, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spices. It rich, golden amber color and long lasting head make for a very pleasing beer.

From a 22 oz bottle in September. Pours a light brown-copper color. Small head and slight lace. Aroma of pumpkin pie with extra spices. Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet malts, slight pumpkin pie, spices. Overall quite tasty and flavorful without too much spice power.

Bottle to pint glass
Elysian makes a lots of beers with pumpkin, so I'm expecting this to go down well. First impressions gives a strong earthy pumpkin aroma with a little sweetness reminiscent of honey. Later, I get nutmeg, red pepper, and oak. It's a clear reddish amber, but it does have quite a few particulates floating around. The head is creamy, mottled, thin, and tan. The taste is pumpkiny, but also including clove, and maybe nutmeg, but I'm not sure. There's a little caramel sweetness as well and not much bitterness. There's effervescence in the glass, but I don't get that on the palate and hence this ends up being quite creamy and medium bodied.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml brown bottle. Pours deep orange, hazy, whipped and creamy and tight white cap on top. Lacing is nice, patchy foam. Nose has cinnamon and cloves. Taste has cloves and cinnamon, ginger with light earthy pumpkins. Spice notes carry into the aftertaste, a very slight note of spice heat in there. Quite a spicy pumpkin beer, yet still mellow and friendly, I liked it.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
