Oddland Ginger Berry Brown is a thicket of raspberry, blackberry and boysenberry with a thorny touch of ginger.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dirty brown with a beige head. Aroma was ginger heavy and had notes of berries. Flavor of ginger, berries, caramel and some earthiness.

Lagerboy (1958) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 8, 2014
Bomber. Unclear brownish orange, signifigant sediment, thin off-white foam fades. Aroma is fruity berry ginger c-malt. Taste is initially bitter harsh ginger giving way to berry fruit, caramel/toffee brown malts, a bit floral, some spice. Average carbonation, medium bodied, lightly hopped. An odd duck indeed, and prehaps unnecessary. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty and nutty, with hints of ginger (obviously) and biscuit. Taste/Palate: starts sweet, and finishes slightly astringent and bitter. No berries.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 Poured from a 22. Initial aroma reminds me of a 1980?s Strawberry Shortcake doll. 100% plastic with a fake fruit smell. Initial flavor is very "compost pile". I kept at it and did find the beer tolerable unless it was burning my eyeballs.

22 oz. bottle shared by someone at Dutch’s - thanks! Pours a semi-cloudy rose-tinted gold with a small off-white head. Brown ale? Not based on appearance. Or aroma, which has notes of ginger, berries, and pale and sweet malts. Or flavor, which has really bitter ginger and florals, citrus peel, berries, and pale malts. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter, spicy, dry mouthfeel. Lose the word "brown" and this makes a whole lot more sense. Odd beer all around.

From a bottle at golden gate parj during Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival between Cibo Matto and ya lo tango. The pour is a bright hazy orange. This has a body of a brown ale with a caramel, citrus, ginger and a aftertaste of berries. I need one to save.

Dark amber color with ivory head. Berry fruit, herbal minty, ginger aromas. Medium bodied. Nice caramel, lightly sweet base brew with ginger, berry fruits, herb garden, nutty flavors---very tasty.

This beer pours a clear dark mahogany color with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, spices and bready malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of berries, grainy malt and sweet spices. The finish is fruity up front with a gingerbread and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
