3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[My bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel.] Pours a deep golden-orange with lots of tiny sediment and an average size long-lasting frothy off-white head. Nice aroma of pepper first followed by fruit, yeast and grain along with some floral notes. Flavour is like it says, a Saison with peppercorns and I love it. Alcohol is well hidden, itís dry and very enjoyable. Average to medium bodied. I really dug this.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
New Beer Distributors, NYC 650ml ($9): Pours golden with a nice white head. Aroma is of funky yeast, fruitiness. The pepper didnít really hit it for me until I tasted the beer. At first, it is sweet, dry, and a bit funky, but then the peppers hit pretty hard towards the end. Really, this is the most peppercorn beer I have ever had. Not bad, but perhaps too spicy.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Well, this pours toasted gold with a solid quilt of toasted cream foam. Smells like black, green and pink peppercorns. Honestly, the pepper is so strong I canít smell much else -thatís a negative. Peppercorn and grain with more peppercorns (really makes me think of meat), there is a clove character as well. Medium bodied with hi carb and an off dry finish. This beer is really one dimensional - maybe just dump this over a pork loin overnight before you give it a good bake - otherwise, this beer is although tasty, poorly constructed.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Bocktown Grill Robinson. Pours golden with an inch of white foam. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Slight pepper note on the nose that I had to act like a pig going after a truffle to find. It opens up a bit on the tongue but it feels subdued. Finishes fades. Eh!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. Looks appealing. A sweet fruity and caramel nose. Big peppery spicy peppercorn, really spicy at times, sweet mellow Saison base, pretty hoppy, caramel. Interesting. Unique. I love the base more than the pepper which is huge.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Dirty golden, light haze, small to moderate sudsy white head, light carbonation, little lacing.   Oh wow, that is a strong peppercorn sort of nose.   Seems like mainly pink.   Canít tell what else may be there...   Soft sweet maltiness on the start, but immediate pink peppercorn right after that.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Saison... no idea.   Pink peppercorn from aroma to the finish.   A touch spicey too.   Interesting, but a one time beer for me for sure!
