Draft at 16 Tons Cafe, Eugene. Pours a slightly cloudy golden, as befits having pear juice. Decent amount off-white head. Aroma citrus hoppiness, pear, grassy notes as well. Body somewhat dull, medium, slightly creamy. Finish surprisingly bitter, long-lasting, sharp, resinous, spicy.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle. Pours cloudy orange. The aroma its citrus, orange, musty, herbal. The flavor its malty, cardboard, spicy, tannic. This seems oxidized.

This yellow beer has a complex spicy aroma. It has a slightly bitter taste and finishes clean. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not a bad pear. Pours a very nice golden. Smells like cloves and spices. Taste has some pear, but more bay leaf and some hops to finish. Not bad, but could do better. Had on tap at Oregon Brewers Festival. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:   Bright straw, faint haze, orangish, thin frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Seems to have like a pink peppercorn like nose.   Lots of peppercorn, maybe even white.   Not getting any pear, at least on the nose.   Peppery start, perhaps a very faint aspect of pear.   The pepper aspect makes me think this should be a Blueberry beer instead.   If there is pear there, its very faint, too faint.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Feels a little spritzy at times too.   Perhaps as it warms a little of the pear comes out, but all in all, this beer is mostly peppercorn of some variety.   Meh...

Draft at pony with Andrew. Pours a clear golden body with light white lacing. Aroma is weird metal, pennies and some funky floral notes. Mouthfeel is medium to light with lots of spice, fruit, and grain. Nahh.

On tap at Craft Beer Market Vancouver, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of strong spices upfront, followed by pear. Flavour brings out more of the pear upfront, followed by medium spiciness. Well-integrated, just not a big fan of the combination. Decent.

Gold mostly clear pour some head. Smell of cumin, corriander, and strangely, sage. Also fruity bananas on the nose. Intense spice flavor. A bit too medicinal and drying. With all of these intense savory spice flavors it seems like other flavors are missing like garlic and hot peppers. Honey sweet pear also comes through here. A noble experiment, at least it freshened my breath.

(bottle - 22 oz) Hazy orange pour with a fluffy white head. Heavy spice and pear sweetness in the aroma. Flavor though is a different story. Basically a mouthful of spices and bitter hops. You get a light fake fruity sweetness at the back but the spices destroy everything else.

Pours gold with a fading head. Nose shows some mix of cardamon, cumin, nutmeg, cloves or star anise along with a hint of baked pears. Not sure about the savoury cumin-like character. More cardamon as a flavour along with a harsh, herbal astringency. Very little supporting malt and the aggressive bitterness clashes with the spices. Carbonation is too high.
