| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 15, 2008 An above-average though not exceptional porter that is smooth, I can drink this all day - which I did. A tad of smoke, good malts yet bitterness secondary that worked a long meal like a wine should. HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Black with a fleeting tan head. Rich aroma of malty cocoa and roasted nuts. Medium bodied and very smooth. A rich taste mirrors the aroma with cocoa, roasted nuts and mocha coffee. One of the best porters i’ve had in years. 3237 DickDunnigan (26), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 19, 2008 22 oz. bomber. Pours a very dark, chocolate brown, with a quickly disappearing tan head. Soma faint hints of dark chocolate malt aroma. Tastes of toasty chocolate malt and oily resins. Not much hop bitterness, which is fine. Tastes a little "washed-out" in the middle, almost a tad watery. Sort of bland for a porter. radiomgb (1957), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Dark brown in colour, light-brown coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is lightly smoky, some sweetness, some roast. The flavour is sweet, mildly roasty, a bit musty, gingerbread. Lightly chalky mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a very light roast and lightly bitter. Weird for sure, the lack of a larger body doesn’t help. Too thin.

Fruity malt candy apple caramel aroma has weird gourd and smoke hints. Dark dark brown red body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. More gourdy notes in the flavour with smokey roasted coffee malt. Medium-full body seems a little thin. Nice.

Wonderful dark roasted malt aroma, with a mix of coffee, and a touch of chocolate. flavour is complex. Great rosted malty, smokey flavour. A great coffee finish. A touch of bitterness in the end, a nice smokey coating in my mouth, GREAT porter.
