The aroma is slightly chocolatey with a milky sort of sweetness and some fruity tones. The flavor is mildly roasty with some toasted almonds and fruit peels. Opaque black/brown color with a vigorous and substantial tan head. Near full bodied with coarsely creamy carbonation. The flavor is dark toasted malt and has fruit over chocolate roast malt. Seems to be floral hop and a bit of smoke. Almost crisp! The finish is lightly sweet with some floral hop to balance. All the while toasted malt lurks in the background. It’s not all that simple a drink. Very good.
