tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 8, 2007 Sweet milk chocolate with roasted and toasty, bready malt undertone. Some vinous fruitinous also notable. Opaque brown body is topped by a dense, fine bubbled, tan-brown head that sadly recedes quickly to a partial cover but does leave some lace. Chocolate sweetness is obvious but there is a fine bready malt character that supports the sweetness. Roast is defined in the finish and marries with the hops to provide lingering bitterness. Medium full body with moderate carbonation. Tulip glass. Allowed to warm from fridge temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, Oct-07). mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 5, 2007 Pours a deep, dark brown with light lacing and a strong chocolate and lightly smoked aroma. Tastes roasty and sweet, oyster sauce for sure, very typically porter-like with decent hops in the dry finish. Lots of carb, thin body, but passable. Very nice porter, I must have this one again soon! Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Nov 3, 2007 10/20 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is roast malt forward, round and bready. Appearance is very dark brown with a medium tan head. Flavor is roast malt forward followed by sour chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium/high bodied with low grain texture and a medium carb feel. Overall, very easy dinking, just with low complexity. robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Oct 19, 2007 Updated: Jul 1, 2009old rating:

Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Oct 10, 2007 Looks beautiful, as it pours black with a thick head. Leaves lacing. Brilliant aftertaste of toasty chocolate malt, and no sweetness at all. Nose is unexciting and a bit metallic. Overall, this is a very nice porter and I’d drink it again for sure.
