| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 bomber - well overdue for a proper rating; dark brown pour with foamy tan head; fresh oats and coffee roast; smooth, medium body; light caramel, dark fruit and roast with my obvious shortfall being the lack of sweetness; lots of oat though NomDeBeer (399), Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Taste is sharp and crisp with coffee, roasted malt and earthy hops. The hop presence is surprising for a porter. Solid mouthfeel, full-bodied, smooth finish. Good beer. cgarvieuk (4171), Edinburgh, Scotland

Dark, roasted mocha/coffee aromas. Raisin and dark grape. Unusual sweet candy flavor; really different and delicious.
The taste is smooth mocha and bittersweet cocoa. The sweetness manifests itself as a cherry, grape and dark raisin. Some sour cherry/grape too. Goes from bitter to sweet-n-sour.
The feel is chewy and creamy. Pretty smooth actually, for a porter. It’s a smooth ans sweetish porter. I like it a lot. Raisin + mocha + breakfast blend coffee. sebletitje (1903), Tampa, Florida, USA
