Bottle from new beer. Pours dark brown black body with 2 finger rocky tan head. Caramel, roasty coffee, some light hop aroma. Minerals a bit of calcium and a hint of smoke. Decent porter.

Pours a dark brown almost black with a slowly dissipating tan frothy head. Aromas of sweet burnt malts, little caramel, chocolate, and hops. Flavors of light roasted malts, caramel, hops, and a little chocolate. Semi sweet throughout. I liked the burnt malted taste it leaves in the end. Pretty good for a porter but some of the flavors that should stick out to make an excellent porter is what this one lacked. All around I thought it was pretty decent.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with a tan head. Lightly roasted aroma with sweet caramel and a touch of hops. The flavor is a little smoky, which I love, and and also has notes of coffee, roast and floral hops. Nice.

500ml bottle. Thick, brown-black color with a patchy, bubbly head. Rich and robust, with a chocolaty smooth finish. Minimal hopping as to style. Long lasting roast chocolate aftertaste. Right on.

A worthy representative of the style. Not great. Not average. Just a good liquid-candy refreshment.
