4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The appearance is dark dark brown, nearly black. Big, pimply, rocky head. Tan rings of lace. Looks sloshy and not stagnant.
Dark, roasted mocha/coffee aromas. Raisin and dark grape. Unusual sweet candy flavor; really different and delicious.
The taste is smooth mocha and bittersweet cocoa. The sweetness manifests itself as a cherry, grape and dark raisin. Some sour cherry/grape too. Goes from bitter to sweet-n-sour.
The feel is chewy and creamy. Pretty smooth actually, for a porter. It’s a smooth ans sweetish porter. I like it a lot. Raisin + mocha + breakfast blend coffee.

3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
Dark brown, chocolate nose. Creamy palate with big chocolate flavor throughout. Med bodied and chocolate dominates this brew. Nice body and flavor throughout and finish is dry. Description says it has a smoky flavor as well, but I don’t get it...just cocoa.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Smells like sweetened trash. Tastes so strange. Not like a porter at all. Cereal, basil, cooked vegetables. No.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A pretty average porter. Pours a muddy brown with a light tan head. Smells good, like vanilla and coffee. Taste is basic porter, lots of coffee, and a slightly weird aftertaste. Had on tap at the brewpup.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted dark malt, smoke and sweet chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Notes from tasting session. Mild chocolate nose. A bit of chocolate on mid-palate. Some roast, burnt flavors grow on the finish and lasts. Very smooth and well balanced stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light and tasty, very easy drinking for a porter. Dark brown with a small head. Nice malty aroma with some caramel and chocolate. Flavor follows suit. Almost a lawn mower porter.
