Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA Mar 10, 2009 Bottle thanks to riversideAK - thanks! I like this one! Pours hazy amber with lots of fluffy head - but I think this was a result of the transport from WA to CA. Flavor is slightly doughy but the hops pick up and give out some great florals. Nice back of the tongue bitter hop flavors, as well as notes of chestnuts, green tea and grass. Ends on a decidedly bitter note. pivo (2535), Germany Jan 18, 2009 Low clingy head, hazy gold color. Light caramelly malt body with a bit of roasted grain notes. Oaky maltiness at the end just before swallowing. Big hop kick throughout, especially afterwards. Some character to this IPA but also something not quite 100% about it. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany Jan 12, 2009 Seattle - November 2008: Nice thick hazy dark golden color. Small head on top. Nice sweet- cheese-like nose. Nice round hops taste -more on the sweet side. Round and balanced but going by to quick. raphael (411), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 27, 2008 Full range hop aroma-- citrus hidden in the pin. A murky, apple cider color, no head to speak of. strong hop presence in the mouth. metallic hop edge brely blanaced by an almost cherry caramel. stays interesting all the way through. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Aug 12, 2008 Cask @ Elysian Fields. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Fruity malty hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter flavor with a long hoppy bitter finish. Leaving you with a long bitter aftertaste. Crit (2399), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jul 1, 2008 Cask:Copper color, decent beige head.Resiny hop cat pissy nose and profile. This beer doesn’t present itself well on cask AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Jun 19, 2008 Cloudy amber with a frothy head. Huge spruce sap, cannabis bud floral aroma. Medium body and smooth. Good flavor is a balanced mix of floral and spruce sap hops riding a lightly sweet pale malt back bone. Finish is nicely bittersweet. Great dry hopped aromas here. Draft @ the Pike St. brewpub 5/27/2008 Dogbrick (2816), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 20, 2008 Sample at the Pike Street location. This brew is a cloudy orange color with a medium and fluffy off-white head that lasts awhile. Patches of lacing. Citrus, hops and bready malt in the nose. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with flavors of hops, citrus and green grapes, along with some malt as a base. The finish is hoppy with lingering grapefruit taste. Pretty solid all around.
