Pale orange, fruity hoppy and strong. A bold, unapologetically hoppy northwest-style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Munich and Crystal malts with a portion of sugar. Bittered and finished with Chinook, Centennial and whole flower Cascade hops all over the place.

extremely drinkable with luschious hop character. Fantastic hop nose. although based on the Big Time Scarlet Fire this IPA has morphed into its own unique beer. Excellent on cask!

On tap at Capital Hill Brewery. My favorite IPA from the Elysian. It is not only full of hops but also a malt presence that makes you want more. The alcohol is prominent part of the flavor profile. What a great IPA!

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 7th, 2007. Mellow hop nose. Flavour has near cask oily quality. Decent orange hop nose and flavour was only average.

I like this better than most of Elysian’s IPA offerings. I’m not a huge fan of bitter, and this one is nicely balanced. It also starts off with a big floral hop hit, which I like.

This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy typically carbonated dark orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy with mild piney notes. The mouth feel was crisp with a cascade hop palate. There was something off in the taste. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.
