SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 4, 2007 draft @ elysian fields - an excellent PNW IPA with strong hop aromas and a very sweet, yet smooth finish Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 30, 2007 Draught sample at brewery. Fresh and grassy with light herbal-fruity nose. Oh so aromatic with hoppy goodness. Light orange-caramel sweetness. Dull golden orange-amber with creamy lacing off-white head. Heavy watery body with soft carbonation. Big hops throughout. Fruity sweet and grapefruit and fresh grassy hops. Big bitter finish and bitter grain after. Huge IPA but good malt-bitter balance. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Jul 26, 2007 Draft at the Elysian brewpub on Capitol Hill, Seattle on 7/11/07. Clear amber with a soft, frothy off white head and excellent lace. A nice fresh piney and citrus hop aroma is promising. Nice medium body and light carbonation with some notable resin. Light brown sugar backs up a very pleasing and an assertive but refreshing grapefruit rind bitterness in a long satisfying dry finish. Nicely crafted IPA worth having again. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Jun 19, 2007 Hazy amber with low head. Very woody nose - the centennial signature. Toasty, lightly chocolatey malts and lots of bitterness. Woody, lightly citric hop character. Assertive but balanced IPA that harkens to the mid 90s and does it really well. cyanescens (156), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 6, 2007 Strong, and rich. I got my keg filled twice with this brew. Malty goodness is balanced with aggressive hops and smooth alcohol taste. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Jun 2, 2007 Draft at Elysian Fields. Pours slightly cloudy medium amber with a beautifully moussy white head that really sticks around on the side of the glass. Nice creamy attack, and say the same for the miod-palate. These guys get that first sip just perfect every time. Finishes with the perfect flourish of grapefruit and a nice sticky bitter cling. glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA May 12, 2007 Light amber with moderate hop aroma. Good bitterness and pretty unbalanced. Not much malt presence, and not good enough hops to overcome that. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 30, 2007 Poured at Tanglewood in Seattle. Very floral tawny body and substantial light head. Nice smell and taste of oranges and passionfruit. Yum! Good beer!
