dirkweep (5), USA does not count Oct 6, 2007 extremely drinkable with luschious hop character. Fantastic hop nose. although based on the Big Time Scarlet Fire this IPA has morphed into its own unique beer. Excellent on cask! Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 30, 2007 Draught sample at brewery. Fresh and grassy with light herbal-fruity nose. Oh so aromatic with hoppy goodness. Light orange-caramel sweetness. Dull golden orange-amber with creamy lacing off-white head. Heavy watery body with soft carbonation. Big hops throughout. Fruity sweet and grapefruit and fresh grassy hops. Big bitter finish and bitter grain after. Huge IPA but good malt-bitter balance. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 15, 2007 GCBF cask conditioned sample. Big head. Hazy orange. grapefruit nose. Strong grapefruit flavour and malt. Yummy. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Nov 7, 2009

pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Aug 5, 2007 Nice piney hoppiness with citus, nice maltliness, and alcohol. Taste has a nice smooth hoppiness, light honey, nice sweetness. Solid IPA. acertain (249), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2007 I like this better than most of Elysian’s IPA offerings. I’m not a huge fan of bitter, and this one is nicely balanced. It also starts off with a big floral hop hit, which I like. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Jul 26, 2007 Draft at the Elysian brewpub on Capitol Hill, Seattle on 7/11/07. Clear amber with a soft, frothy off white head and excellent lace. A nice fresh piney and citrus hop aroma is promising. Nice medium body and light carbonation with some notable resin. Light brown sugar backs up a very pleasing and an assertive but refreshing grapefruit rind bitterness in a long satisfying dry finish. Nicely crafted IPA worth having again. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jun 19, 2007 Hazy amber with low head. Very woody nose - the centennial signature. Toasty, lightly chocolatey malts and lots of bitterness. Woody, lightly citric hop character. Assertive but balanced IPA that harkens to the mid 90s and does it really well.
