4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle. Translucent cola brown color topped by a small firm beige head. Big spicy malt nose, redolent of cinnamon and coffee. First sip brings more cinnamon and creamy cappuccino flavor. A smooth creamy mouthfeel as well. Coffee flavor dominates the palate, but the pumpkin pie spices are there. Mostly cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg and allspice. Rich, malty notes in finish. A decent effort. One of the better pumpkin beers tasted.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2016 Sampled on draft at Smokin Joe?s this beer poured a dark brown color with a small foamy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel and pumpkin spice. The flavor was sweet cinnamon sugar, nutmeg, vanilla cream and roasted caramel. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done

Draft at Elysian Capitol Hill. Pours clear nut brown with a fizzy beige head. Smells like cinnamon, pumpkin, vanilla, booze, and roasted coffee. Tastes like cinnamon, pumpkin, roasted coffee beans, and vanilla. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a whit head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, and faint coffee. Taste is a very well balanced moderately sweet spiced pumpkin beer. More coffee and smoked malt on flavor than aroma with a cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin flavor that is not a spice bomb like some. Excellent pumpkin beer. One of the best I've had. Would love to try this against Warlock.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottled 7 months ago, purchased at Tower Liquors. Hazy brown appearance with a tan head and plenty of sediment. Spiced up aroma with cinnamon, nutmeg, coffee and earth. Similar flavor, tasting slightly off, a little old and musty. Otherwise, not too bad for a shelf turd.

Big bottle. Fridge chilled. Served in tulip glass. Minimal head. Spotty lacing. Head is light tan, beer is darker brown. Aroma is mostly spices with some sweetness and light malts. Taste is medium sweet with a slight bitterness. Notes of spices amd capucinno and light malts. Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation. Overall an beer worthy of tasting.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bottle. Color is dark amber with some sediment. Aroma is wonderful with cinnamon leading the way along with nutmeg, coffee, and pumpkin. Taste is more mild, but along the same lines as the aroma with some tailing bitterness and less cinnamon. Overall a very good pumpkin beer. More complex than most with great flavors to go with the pumpkin.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Perhaps my favorite pumpkin beer of all time. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice and coffee, taste follows, but it’s neither some turbo-boosted coffee stout nor a Southern Tier/Shorts style sweetness bomb. Really balanced and just delicious.
