On tap at Tangletown. Pours a light brown to dark amber with an off-white head. Very big raspberry aroma. Solid raspberry flavor but finishes up with a good hop backbone.

Sampled at Elysian Tanglewood. Dark golden; smells like a dusty raspberry. Sour, probably made with real berries. Flavor is a collision on wheat yeast and raspberry. Palate is rocky.

[1112-20080217] Tap @ Elysian Fields (Seattle, WA). Aroma pictures a raspberry bush drizzled in a little sweet cream. Murky, medium brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Malty wood and raspberry fruit flavour hints at hops. Medium body has a touch of sourness. Nice raspberry balance.

Draft at Elysian Fields. Comes out ruddy, almost orange, kinda grainy and definitely murky. Shows some feisty carb through the sides of the glass. Small, short-lived fizzy whitish head. Big sweet raspberry and bubble gum nose (but definitely mostly raspberry). Medium body, somewhat fizzy carb. Plenty of sweet fruity notes on the mid-palate, with a clean finish. This is fairly close to being in balance, and the carb isn’t way overdone. But with just a little tightening of those two things this could be a pretty dandy little beer.

Brewed by Tangletown location, had on tap at Capital Hill. Bartender described as a raspberry Hefe. Reddish brown with small head. Fresh raspberry aroma dominates. Taste is raspberry mixed with belgian yeast. Good, but almost has a soda-like quality. A little bitter to finish makes for an odd end. All-in-all, well made and worth trying. Love the fresh raspberry taste. Not syrupy at all and not too sweet.
