Luminous hazy orange with a ring of head. Nice yeasty nose with zest of orange. After aeration, a pumpkin spice medley slowly and subtely emerges. Tannic yeasty body with doses of orange creamsicle and bland spices. Finishes overly sweet and tannic for my tastes.

Draft @ Falling Rock Elysian pumpkin fest ’11. Hazy ochre yellow. Aroma is citrus peel, bitter orange, and lots of kumquat. Sweet yeast esters blend with the big citrus character. Sweet nutty malts. Herbal hops. Citrus peel again, in the pocket of candied lemon peel. Is not overtly pumpkiny but very nice.

Hazy tan. Light yeasty character. Mild maltiness. Has some mellow pumpkin character. Spritzy carbonation. Enigmatic - not a great saison, not a great pumpkin beer, but not a bad beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 NobleSquirrel (2677) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 3, 2011
Draft at Falling Rock’s Elysian Pumpkin Event. Pours a nice enough amber with a fluffy head. Nose is earthy and lightly sweet. Soft clove and white pepper accompany mint & anisey fennel. On tasting, the yeast kind of overwhelms a lot of the rest of the spicing and overshadows the faint earthy pumpkin notes. Pretty solid, but would like to see the character ingredients shine a bit more.
