A cloudy amber with a medium sized whitish head. The florals are more pronounced on the nose, and the body is medium-full at the front and then becomes more subtle. The finish is a bit abrupt but it clean with a lingering carmel fruity.

Brilliant clear golden with a thin white cap. Nice herbal and grainy nose thatís a touch biscuity and Belgian estery, with a touch of something from the spice cabinet and golden American malts. The flavor is quite golden bready malty, some black pepper, a nice herbal nuance throughout the base, and a light orange citrus finish with more blonde and biscuity saison grains.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a murky orange-tan color with a large fluffy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and yeasty with a musty note and moderate pineapple and orange. The flavor was yeasty and phenolic with a musty presence followed by elements of peach, citrus, pepper and almost perfume. Long finish that turns a bit dry. Medium body. Interesting.

Bottle from Total Wine, I think.

Darker-than expected orange pour with a lightly pink-orange tinted head. Nice saison aroma, peppercorns pretty forward, otherwise good dusty elements with modest but not excessive esters. Flavor is a bit sweet, a bit cloying, balanced by the nearly-spicy pepper. Orange. Mouthfeel is thick and not as refreshing as Iíd like. I donít understand why this needed to be brewed at 7%. US brewers need to learn to do saisons at 5% or below. Passable.

On tap at brewpub. A slightly hazy golden with a short lived white head. Aroma is pepper, lemon, vanilla. Flavor is lemon, vanilla. Finish is pepper, light sting from the peppercorn. Light to medium body, soft mouthfeel, average carbonation.

10 oz at WoB Belmar. Pours a cloudy light, light amber with a tall white head. Pungent peppercorn aroma is immediately noticed with a touch of orange and clove. The body is full with a finish not too dry or too sweet. Flavors of oranges start to develop beneath the peppercorn with some peppery esters and faint bubblegum. Not as peppercorn forward as their Oddlands saison, but still harmonious and delicious.

Clear yellow with a thin head. Very nice and complex aroma with vegetables and melon. Balanced bittersweet flavor with a very peppery aftertaste. Iím very impressed.

"man...another unique brew at this place. i thought the peppercorns would be too much in the flavor after smelling the beer, even though i thought the aroma was pretty cool. while they were not subtle, they werenít at all overpowering either. you could still taste a well balanced ale underneath. maybe not one iíd have all the time, but pretty cool."

Pour on tap, hazy yellow pour with white head, aroma brought pepper, white fruit, grainy notes with some pear, slight white grape, hints of biscuit, bread, slight spicy tones as well. Taste is a mix of white fruit, biscuit, bread, mostly pear and peach, slight white grape into a grassy, spicy, and peppery finish.
