Great IPA! Imperial flavors in a standard IPA... You can drink and enjoy the beautiful hop aromas and flavors without falling out of your chair when you're done.

Smells of an apple tree in the middle of a meddow in a light summer breeze (Iím speaking from experence here). Itís a sort of citrus, floral, grassy smell, creating, a really nice, easy ipa. The pleasent medium bitterness, medium sweetness, blend perfectly making for a lively, highly enjoyable IPA.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed August 15, 2013. The appearance has a slightly hazy orange body with a one finger white foamy head that drastically dies to barely a film coating the top of the body. There is some light carbonation that is seen rising at a moderate pace, with some messy lacing just kinda goes all over the glass in no apparent way. The smell is citrusy and piney hops up front and very strong powering their way through the entire brew, but there is a light sweet malty presence in the background. The taste is bittersweet all the way through the citrusy and piney hops, again with a sweet malty presence in the background, yet there is also a favorable spiciness that comes through in the taste that I really like, very sweet sticky aftertaste and finish. On the palate, it sits about a light to medium, surprisingly enough despite the ABV - this one shows a very favorable drinkability - big wow. Carbonation seems lighter than most AIPAís but pulls off pretty good for the style and for me. Overall, I really wasnít expecting this one to be this good, holy crap, this is a very good AIPA. Well done Elysian. If there is anything here on the West Coast that I can get for this price of $4.99 a bomber, its this.

Was left alone with a keg of this for about 2 weeks... Good times... Poured a hazy, quite bright orange with a dense white head. Big aroma of juicy hops, grapefruit and some caramel. Flavours of candy sugar sweetness mixed with Seville orange bitterness and some chewy malt. Wonderful, full palate a great mix of pine hop bitterness mixed with tropical fruit sweetness and a warm sugary alcoholic note.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white top and good lacing. Aroma is faint citrus and pine hops. Taste is not overpowering hop bitterness but a nice balance of pine and citrus hops with some sweet malts.

Bottled: unk Itís a hazed gold with a solid quilt of bone white foam. Smells like grapefruit, onion, body odor, some more onion, some resin and hemp, a little orange. The flavor is bitter, more onion, more body odor and musk, some lighter grain, some orange and grapefruit pith. Medium bodied with moderate carb and a little wetness on the finish. A little too aggressive with the citra hops, makes it go from fruity love to veggie sadness.

Pour on tap, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of pine, grass, slight orange and grapefruit, hints of biscuit, bread, spice. Taste is a mix of grass, earth, slight pine into big fruity orange, grapefruit, slight lemon, finishing fairly bitter, slightly dry.
