COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beer and coffee are Seattle siblings, jealously dividing the day. Split Shot combines the talents of Elysian’s brewers with a pound per barrel of cold-infused, Seattle-produced Lighthouse coffee. It’ll open your eyes to a delicious new beer. Split Shot is the official beer of 2012 Seattle Beer Week.

Dry finish, plenty of length with perfect carbonation. Slight milky tinge but good dry coffee hoppy aftertaste.

This was putrid. Nasty milky stale coffee tasting watery stout. Probably the worst stout I ever had.

An average stout overall. Pours a nice brown black with a tan head. Smells of espresso and milk. Taste is smooth but unremarkable, and a bit watery in the end. Had in the bottle.

Bottle, shared at game night by phantomhennes. Dark walnut brown pour, average light tan head. Big fresh coffee aroma, undertones of chocolate and caramel. Bold coffee flavor, dark and roasty, notes of chocolate and cream. A nicely balanced coffee stout.

Pouring out a entirely opaque black in the body a dauntingy thick mass of tan mocha coloured head looms on top. The aroma is heavy with espresso and coffee notes swirling richly with creamy lactose notes. Heavily roasted with dark chocolate, anise seed and vanilla beans aromas mixing in with the espresso and lactose notes. A rich and espresso heavy flavour with tons of roasted malts, complex coffee bean flavours with a mild fruity note. Mild vanilla in the front with dark chocolate and potent roasted notes. The finish is mildly bitter with a light dry astringency and a heavy espresso flavour. A fairly well balanced brew with a full body and a huge hit of espresso throughout

Bottle shared by Brian. A dark brown with a light beige pour and a nice coffee & cream aroma. Medium-full bodied with a round carbonation. The taste is fairly average for a coffee stout, acrid dark malt, roast coffee and bit of sweetness. Decent.

Watered down coffee beer. Lite on the palate, coffee, carbonation, vanilla, malt. Not impressed, would not buy again

650ml bottle pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is coffee and chocolate with roasted notes. Taste is a roasted grain and coffee bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness and a dry roasted finish. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. A quality brew with good taste and a nice balance.

Poured from bottle. Thick, light tan colored head about 3 fingers. Aroma is heavy on the roasted coffee with hints of caramel. Taste is rich, roasty with loads of coffee flavors. Nice even finish, not too much astringent bitterness and not too sweet. Excellent beer!

Dark deep brown with a wee ruby highlight, under a thin light khaki head. Lovely creamy dark chocolate aroma with a coffee tone that’s not quite espresso but it’s earthy sweet and creamy for sure. Nice robust roast coffee and earthy roasty chocolate flavor with a full creamy flavor and body that hides the astringent earthy tones. Sweet and dark and creamy and coffeeish.
