Pours a light honey color with a tall white head. Smells citrusy. Bold citrus flavor. The blood orange really comes through. Nice summer ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle into a Duvel tulip.
A: Pours a hazy...should I say it? Okay. Pours a hazy orange color. The head is a one finger offwhite shade that’s very bubbly in its texture. Some sheeted lacing is left behind as well.
S: Pleasant tones of mango, pine, Simcoe cattiness, and crackery malt abound. I also pick up a hint of blood orange, as well - especially when it opens up - but given the advertising of blood oranges, I’d expect it to smell less like a typical Simcoe-hopped pale ale. To be fair, though, blood orange is a VERY common note in pale ales...
T: It starts off with touches of pine and mango. After the midpoint is where the advertised blood oranges comes through, creating a juicy yet bitter finish. It’s not superbly interesting, all told, however it does live up to its billing.
M: Not as clean as I’d like it to be. Also a bit on the heavy side in terms of texture. Pleasantly bitter and carbonated, though.
O: The use of blood oranges here isn’t enough to make this stand out from the scores of pale ales on the market. I’d reckon its worth a try, just don’t expect to be blown away.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy light golden orange with and a small white head. Aroma of fuzzy orange zest and some biscuity malt. Flavour is very bitter, bringing out dry bitter notes of orange zest, some citrus notes, and fuzzy biscuity malts. Very fuzzy and zesty. Unspectacular but drinkable. Decent.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Scion Silver Spring. Muddier dark orange pour. Weaker white foam with some okay lacing. Nose is softer orange juice, mild citrus hops. "Blood orange", a flavor I love, did not really hit me. Taste again is quite soft, no abrasive bitterness, no acid from the blood orange, restrained citrus hops. Quite drinkable, simple, no flaws. Clean palate. My qualm is that it came across as bland, not a lot of APA character and nothing that screamed blood orange.

On tap at Sunset Grille. Review based on pint at Darby's. Cloudy orange. Nice lacing from minimal cap. Aroma of oranges and zest spritz, a touch of pine, and candied sugar. Taste is pretty weak citrus and hop. Good, dry finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy orange gold with a finder of coarse white head. Settles quickly with a little lacing. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, citrus, very mildly funky. Flavor is hoppy, strong orange/citrus, with a mildly bitter, citrus finish. Hint of medicinal/herbal tones. Reminiscent of orange soda at times. Decent balance of hop and orange. Moderate carbonation, light body, crisp texture, and a mildly astringent finish. An interesting, fruity, drinkable pale ale.
