3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Drank in snifter poured from bomber. Aroma - very nice with a hint of orange citrus smell. Appearance - some trub in a beautiful golden hue. Moderate froth. Taste - smooth but a little bitter. You can taste the orange zest/pulp. Palate - bitter and zesty. Literally. Overall - very nice but maybe a bit too bitter from the pulp.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Aroma is perfumy, doughy, chalky; the orange makes itself known after it warms up. Pours hazy orange with a medium collapsing white head. Taste is mostly bitter with a nice orange component that provides a bit of tartness; also some graininess in the finish. Prickly carbonation, medium body. Not bad.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I was expecting a lot more from this beer considering Elysian’s pedigree. I didn’t get much Blood Orange or even citrus taste and it wasn’t that hoppy either. Label was cool though.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2013 Surpisingly decent color, but very subtle so could be overlooked. Caramel undertones in the aroma work against its summer beer persona. With the citrus profile, makes an excellent change up for a long evening session beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle [12oz]. Pours a cloudy orange-copper with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma of blood oranges first followed by light citrus hops, lemon tartness, pale malt and light herbs. Flavour follows but everything is more subtle and harder to detect and with a dry, light to moderate bitter finish -- still pleasant though. Average bodied. Pretty good and enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz single from Roths Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem.
Pours a rather attractive murky orange colour with a nice sized thick white head.
For a pale this has strong resiney/pine hop aromas, along with some orange peel..nice but odd for a pale
Again strong hop flavours this time more fruit with the pine..some orange pith in the back and a sweet fruity finish.
OK mouthfeel about average for style..
Nice drinkable beer..but I would say this is more an IPA than an APA or at least it blurs the line!
