3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, thanks to Carl. Paired with venture bros late enough that I should be in bed but early enough that I have no interest in being in bed. This show is hilarious. Anyway, to the beer. Pours cloudy orange amber. Aroma: orange, turmeric (?!), mustard, citrus, some caramel - orange cream soda. Taste: moderately sweet, with yellow mustard surprisingly prominent and hard to get past. Moderately bitter finish, but nice and creamy and approachable. Medium body, average carbonation. Overall: this mustard thing has come up in a few other pale ales/ipas, and unfortunately it’s one I have a hard time looking past. Fun beer otherwise.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 fl oz bottle from Potsdam NY, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Murky orange-amber with a smallish off-white head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Nice orange peel, slightly dank, grapefruit, a bit dusty, some light malt support, a touch fruity/estery, maybe a little medicinal/band-aid?
Palate: Medium body, loose carbonation.
Flav.: Nice grapefruit and orange peel, dank, slightly resinous, a little more cereal and wheat(?), kinda yeasty, good; dry with decent bitterness and a citrus peel, dank finish.
Pretty nice...nicer than expected.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The appearance was a hazy orange color with a one and half finger white foamy head that dies to a lumpy looking film coating the top of the beer, decent amount of light foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass.
The smell had some orange with light spice combined and amplifying a nice refreshing aspect.
The taste was mainly sweet through the orange and spice. It’s kinda like drinking orange juice to an extent. Sticky sweet orange aftertaste leading into a nice crisp refreshing dry finish.
M: light to medium, sessionable - yes, ABV feels very appropriate for what is told, carbonation is good for the style and for me as there’s the appropriate amount for an American Pale Ale lending a nice sweet coating around the mouth and tongue.
Overall, I say this is a pretty good APA well worthy of coming back to and well worthy of having it with its respected food.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2015 Pours very cloudy golden color with two finger white head. Aroma s initially very hoppy bu if you give it a minute the blood orange citrus aroma comes through. Flavor is medium body and very hoppy, hop flavor/aroma/& bitter. Blood orange is just right not too fruity and not impossible to detect. The hops and citrus complement each other nicely. I fussed over and deconstructed this ale before their parent company decided that that was not cool.
