3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber pours a yellowish orange color with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of orange, citrus, and pine. Tastes of all the same things in the smell with an odd sour funk in the back end that makes it wierd. I?m assuming its the blood oranges used. Mouthfeel was medium with pretty good carbonation. Overall this pretty good initially, but the sour funky bitter aftertaste you get isnt very appealing. I like the blood orange beer they brewed for the Beers of the Apocalypse series way better. I hope they tweak the recipe a bit. Definitely different from most pale ales I?ve had.

12-ounce bottles in a pint glass. Based on the name, I was expecting a pale ale with orange. Instead I got what was pretty much an IPA. Why bother putting orange or other flavors in it when the harsh hop flavor overpowers everything else?

12oz bottle into a Corsendonk badged tulip on 23rd May 2016 while on holiday in California. Blood orange particles floating in an orange sea is what it looked like and it had an aroma and taste to match. Different.

Tap at Keyaki. Cloudy orange color. Very fruity nose of sweet peaches and oranges. Fuzzy, wheat flavor, candy-like sweetness that is very off-putting. No thanks.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A creamy orange aroma comes from this brew that is hazy orange with a nice white head. Crisp tiny carb bubbles slightly sweet with a plesant bitterness. The medium bodied brew has a creamy aftertaste and a slight orange flavor which I think contributes to the bitterness.

Superfuzz isn’t exactly full of surprises - it’s a Blood Orange Pale Ale that tastes exactly like you think it should - but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that; there’s something nice about a beer that meets your expectations. Juicy, creamy (blood) orange aromatics and flavors. You get the sweetest tropical aspects of the Cascade, Citra, Amarillo, and German hops. Body is laid-back and extremely drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very hazy dark golden orange color with banana yellow edges and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Nice retention, taking longer to settle than expected and leaving large streaks of soapy lacing behind. A little darker and cloudier than I prefer but this beer has nice head retention and lacing.
Slightly earthy floral hop aroma with grassy pine and dank resins countered by pale malt and sweet, zesty citrus. The blood orange stands out with zest and fleshy citrus fruit. A little bit of bread/biscuit from the malts but they don’t hinder the hops or citrus.
Fuller bodied than expected with a crisp hop bite and some zesty citrus fruit sweetness. Dank and earthy with some grassy pine and bitter resins countered by a strong citrus/blood orange character. Orange peel, ruby red grapefruit, mango and pineapple sweetness but the blood orange is very prominent. Again, the malt presence is light with some bread and caramel providing nice balance without hindering the hop and citrus flavors. Well balanced and easy to drink.
