3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark straw with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is blood orange zest, berries, piney malt, florals. Tastes very tart, citric, with notes of blood orange, tangerine, berry, and a tart finish. This one is unique and tasty.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Cloudy orange with a short head. Grassy and resinous American hops with acidic citrus pulp. Medium body, medium sweetness with assertive bitterness and acidic grip. Malt is thin and shaky, carbonation doesn’t do much, it ends up smelling like a humid brewery: raw and grassy and minty toothpaste hops, with equally raw and grainy malt, there’s your Cracklin’ Oat Bran cereal, now that you’ve brushed your teeth, have a glass of orange juice with your cereal. Drink this stuff for breakfast at least, to get the true effect.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"Less hops than I’d have thought, especially since it’s a pretty new beer. A little disappointing there. But, the orange starts pleasant and builds from there, leaving a pleasant tingle on the tongie and a decent aroma. Without the orange, this would be a pretty crappy pale ale, but with it? Not too shabby."

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle shared by Mike - thanks again! Pours a super hazy pale yellow-gold with lots of yeast floaters and a white head. Very wheaty and bready throughout in texture and flavor and aroma. The blood orange shows up mostly in the flavor. Also bread and florals in this one. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and high carbonation. Not bad, but a bit lacking in character for the deScription and label.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head. A nice nose of oranges, dry husky malts. Sweet, bigger Amarillo, oranges, bitterness throughout, more earthy dry malts. I guess my only complaint is that the Munich especially is getting in the way here, too dusty and earthy to be as clean as it could be. But overall this is solid.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at City Tap House DC. Pours a hazy golden color with orange highlights and a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus peel, a splash of orange, floral notes, grass, lightly toasted bread with mild bitterness to the finish. A bit soft and thin mid palate. This is not one of my favorites from this brewery.
