12oz bottle, which I believe I got from AKA Friscoís in Frederick.. Clear orange yellow color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Nice orange citrus, some biscuity bready hop, light bit of vanilla. Really nice, but subtle malt bill. Works well. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet, kind of zesty. Medium body. Super smooth. Good smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Super awesome texture to this, very refreshing, crisp, and drinkable. Much better than expected. Tasting very fresh.

Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Hazy straw color with a large white head. The aroma is full of blood orange and grapefruit notes with some wheat character thrown in. The flavor is similar. I get some pithy blood orange notes, as well as a little bit of juicy citrus. The wheat and biscuit character is present, as is some grass from the hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Draft at City Tap House DC. Pours a hazy golden color with orange highlights and a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus peel, a splash of orange, floral notes, grass, lightly toasted bread with mild bitterness to the finish. A bit soft and thin mid palate. This is not one of my favorites from this brewery.

Bottle from Legacy. Hazy, pretty much opaque soft orange color. The aroma is hop-forward, somewhat chewy and actually smells stronger than it is, but not in a bad way. The body is deceptive, it is fairly big, but highly drinkable. The best thing about this beer is its level of refinement. The fruit component is understated, adding nuance to a solid base beer rather than becoming an overly fruited gimmick. In fact, if I didnít know there was orange here, I would not detect it. Itís more like, oh, thatís where that balancing bit of acidity comes from. Solid malt profile, mainly pales, with briskly hopped. As with most Elysian beers, accessible and sophisticated at the same time.

Bottle courtesy of Vin, I believe shared with Pat, Pj, Dave, Sean and Judo. Pours a light hazy orange body with not much head, some minor lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and bitter citric hop. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium with notes of citrus fruits, citra hop, lemon peel and spice. Ok pale ale.

kramer (4857) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy straw colored body under a one inch frothy white head that had very nice retention. The nose is pretty typical for an APA, nice fresh and juicy hops with a fairly dry crackery malt. It smalls pretty delicious, but I canít say that I get much influence from the fruit in here. The hops have a very New Zealand quality to them, but no indication of what is used on the label. The flavor is just lightly bitter, much more of a fruity and juicy expression from the hops. The malt is dry and crackery with a light and thin finish. Very easy drinking and light bodied with fine fizzy carbonation. Not sure I really taste much from the blood oranges either, but I think that may be from the choice of hops in here. This is pretty enjoyable, I could drink a sixer of this pretty easy on a warm day.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4785) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 15, 2014 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-peach color with a small foam y white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bitter and tart grapefruit, orange and a bit of sugar. The flavor was dry, bitter and tart grapefruit and orange. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
