3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 fl oz bottle from Potsdam NY, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Murky orange-amber with a smallish off-white head and nice lacing.
Aroma: Nice orange peel, slightly dank, grapefruit, a bit dusty, some light malt support, a touch fruity/estery, maybe a little medicinal/band-aid?
Palate: Medium body, loose carbonation.
Flav.: Nice grapefruit and orange peel, dank, slightly resinous, a little more cereal and wheat(?), kinda yeasty, good; dry with decent bitterness and a citrus peel, dank finish.
Pretty nice...nicer than expected.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was a nice surprise of a pale ale. Aroma was nice. Just a hint of orange with sweet light malt. Pour was a nice light medium cloudy gold with a one finger white head. Taste is very full for such a small ABV. Just slightly sweet with notes of orange kept in check by the sweet juicy malt. No hops here. Decent carbonation. Nice beer

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, tiny bubbled, very well retained, off white head, with some lacing, over a very hazy, gold (SRM 5) body....nose is heavy citrus (orange in type), light cereal, minimal hop notes, no esters.....taste is citrus with grapefruit, orange, blood orange, lime (a fruit salad), minimal esters, light hop honey floral notes, finishing with a lingering bitterness....mouth feel, medium body, moderate astringency, moderate acid finish, with low carbonation. This is not an APA, it is rather a spice, herb, vegetable variant. The APA is lightly present, with the malts and hops nicely balanced. However they are both dominated, as is the yeast contributions, by the fruit additions. It is not an unpleasant beer, it just isn’t an APA. Rating above to enjoyment, with rating below to style.
