Draft @ the growler. Pours a cloudy orange color with a grapefruit and citrus taste. Very flavorful and drinkable. I like it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Medium sized, white head with fair retention and skimpy lace. Hazy, light copper, gold hued brew. nose is soft with citrus and pale malts.Body is lightly medium with a tingly little carbonation, lightly resiny and juicy. Pleasant fruitiness from the hops, little tropical and juicy with a dry, pale malt biscuity note. Dry, fruity finish, tame bite.. Enjoyable lil bugger. Bottle from statelineliquors.

pours translucent marmalade orange with a very small head, barely any retention, and not much activity. Fragrant orange and grapefruit on the nose - very fruity and inviting. Attack: crisp, half silky/half creamy, oncoming sharp bitterness Mid-palate: fruity 5/10-sweet orange, grapefruit peel, malts, hints of pine Finish: long lingering grapefruity-hopped intense bitter finish Overall very balanced, drinkable, and a good-textured beer, but also quite aggressive with the hopped bitter finish.

"Less hops than Iíd have thought, especially since itís a pretty new beer. A little disappointing there. But, the orange starts pleasant and builds from there, leaving a pleasant tingle on the tongie and a decent aroma. Without the orange, this would be a pretty crappy pale ale, but with it? Not too shabby."

Gave this one a shot. It was decent. The orange was not over powering but it was there. So were the hops. Iím not sure why Elysian is so expensive (over $14 a sixer). Definitely not worth the price

Tap at Scion Silver Spring. Muddier dark orange pour. Weaker white foam with some okay lacing. Nose is softer orange juice, mild citrus hops. "Blood orange", a flavor I love, did not really hit me. Taste again is quite soft, no abrasive bitterness, no acid from the blood orange, restrained citrus hops. Quite drinkable, simple, no flaws. Clean palate. My qualm is that it came across as bland, not a lot of APA character and nothing that screamed blood orange.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and biscuit malts, orange, floral hops, and light toast. Flavor is balanced dry, bready malts and light hop bitterness with some light fruit esters and a touch of spice; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
