Jan 24, 2009 Sampled from a pint bottle at the superpower beer session, part one, in Tromsø. Copper-amber body with a slight haze and topped by a moderately, white lacing head. Aromatic with fresh tropical fruits. Flavoured with dried hopped fruit, accomplished by notes of pine and late oranges. Bittersweet notes creeps in towards the ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant stuff. Jan 24, 2009 Tap. Pours a light straw color with a white head. Aroma is citrus hops, not much else. Taste is citrus and floral hops up front with slight malt and wheat on the finish. Beer was fairly smooth, though those hops definitely stay with you. It’s good, but not great.

Jan 18, 2009 Light hay in the nose, hops too of course. Clear gold color. Kinda one-dimensional taste profile since the hopping just overpowers everything else. There is a sugary sweetness towards the end, but this is no consolation. The hops zing the tip of the tongue and lingering long after the swallow. You can almost feel the hop resin sticking to your teeth.

Jan 17, 2009 Nice golden/amber coloured body with a perfect tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, nice malt, a bit of citrus and plenty of caramel. Medium-bodied; Nice sharp hoppy flavour up front with good caramel and plentiful malt. Aftertaste clean and bitter - a good IPA from Portland. Definitely worth trying if you can get your hands on it. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Portland, Oregon on 23 November 2006 (Thanksgiving).

Jan 12, 2009 Seattle - Draft - 2008: Dark golden color, small fast vanishing head. Very light nose. Nice bitter taste- on the edge but still pleasant bitter hops taste that last and lingers forever.

Jan 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear light orange with a thick off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malt. Flavor of light floral hops, toasted malt and a touch of diacetyl. Nice and drinkable. Simple, but good.

Jan 8, 2009 In the bomber bottle from Cousin Andrew. Really, really nice. I like this a lot. Great hoppy notes to the scent of grapefruit. The flavor has plenty of pleasant bitterness and yet still remains quite a bit sweet. Nice balance. The lacing on the walls of the shaker are impressively coated with thick foam. This is a satisfying brew that I’ll have again. Can’t wait to get back to Seattle!
