Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 26, 2008 This is a randomly and extremely sweet tasting IPA. Almost too overpoweringly sweet to my mind actually. Really pretty orange color though and a little bit of a bitter finish at the end. Better than average, but not by much. ditmier (1023), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 25, 2008 2008 Bottle - Pours orange with a large off-white head, aroma is interesting, citrusy, but also sweet and malty - which the bottle is not....quite a dry IPA, resinous, serious hop bitterness, finishes caramely, but not sweet...one dimensional, and bitter to be bitter without any other tangible qualities...did I get a bad bottle maybe? HopBackDoc (393), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2008 22 oz. bomber. Pours a clear golden/amber color with minimal head. Aroma of pine, citrus and soap suds. The flavor ranges from a citrus hop taste at first, followed by a sharper bitter pine hop. The hops were slightly offset by a caramel malt sweetness. Dry and bitter finish. Definitely an English style IPA. blipp (1632), Newark, New Jersey, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden orange with a big off white head. The aroma is orangey fruit, and floral hoppy. The flavor is quite acidic, and flroal hoppy. Not bad, but this would improve with a little more of a malt profile. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Oct 5, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours clearish, yellow/amber with a thin white head, some lace. Smells dry, nutty malty with some grassy hops. Tastes nutty and slightly hoppy, some grass, some citrus. Medium body, good carbonation. A bit of a let down. Rciesla (3515), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber body with a lighnt white head. Citrus and pine dominate the nose. Citrus, hop resins, grapefruit. Some malt body and a crisp finish with a little etoh. k4df4l (154), DTown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2008 A nice looking light orange body with a one inch off-head. Aromas of citrus & light piney hops and sweet malt. Flavor was initially moderate-lightly bitter followed by sweet malt with a touch of caramel and toasty bread then lightly hoppy. Body was moderately thin with a slightly sticky finish. trevor211 (500), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours an orangeish copper with a good-sized head. The aroma is wonderful on this one - citrus hops, bitter grapefruit, satsumas and a good balance of malts... but either the flavor is weak, or I’m getting far too used to DIPAs. It’s smooth - I’ll give it that - but diluted. Good flavor, but it definitely tastes watered down, and the flavor just dies.
