An over-bitter simple IPA. Has a great malt with interesting hop flavor. A little thin, and not enough hop flavor for the bitterness. New and improved label since the picture was taken.

Pours amber with a decent cream colored head and good lacings. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is citrus hops and a good amount of roasted malts. Pretty well balanced for an IPA. Bitter grapefruit finish.

On draught at the Elysian brewery in Seattle, Washington. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin off-white ring and film top. Aroma of sweet grapefruit zest, some biscuit malt, and a touch of apricots and herbs. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of multi-grain and biscuit malt, extra grapefruit zest and citrus hops, and a hint of toffee. Finish has a sharp bitter finish that slowly disappears in the aftertaste. Average IPA overall but qite good.

Bottle. Clear deep golden. Aroma of mango and grapefruit. Dry with clean but bold mouthfeel. There are juicy hops, but it ends with ashy bitterness. A good, solid beer, but nothing that stands out amongst the IPAs in the PNW.

Tap at Barcade: Slightly hazy orange with a creamy strong head. Citrusy aroma. Not at all assertive, with a touch of orange and underlying biscuit-like malt. Light fluffy feel. Hop profile leans toward orangey citrus and some grassy bitterness. Has a touch of biscuit in the back. Good profile, it’s just a bit simple.
