drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA May 27, 2008 Another solid IPA during the Seattle trip. Not as intense as expected, but very good. The wife was less impressed. Dogbrick (2816), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 19, 2008 Sample at the Pike Street location. The beer is a clear orange color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy and hoppy aroma with light malt in the background. Medium-bodied and moderately hoppy with flavors of citrus and pine along with some malt. The finish is somewhat hoppy with a lingering bitterness left over. Above average all around. Bigsilky (322), Charleston, USA May 17, 2008 A hug of honeyed citrus immerses from the healthy white foam. Earthy hop that sticks to the nostrils and bready maltiness follows. Orange cream checked by rind bitterness in the form of bittering hops refreshes the palate and lingers as it coats the mouth for another dose. Full body insures that a sipper could turn into a workhorse. The show takes on seriousness in the mid-palate and finishes on the sides of the tongue. Nicely done. VitaminR (422), Colorado, USA May 9, 2008 Sweet honey-resin nose, some floral notes. Slightly hazy orange/amber, super thick and frothy head that lasted and left nice lacing. Nutty toast sweetness, bitterness hits right away, good balance. Medium body, good mouth feel, and a long finish. All around solid IPA. DuffMan (2721), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada May 6, 2008 Hazy orange-tinted golden, frothy white head leaving scant lace. Grassy resinous hop aroma, grapefruit rind. Flavours of capsicum, grapefruit and resin. Medium bodied with a very bitter finish. A little different with the capsicum thing going on, but very nice. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA May 1, 2008 22oz bottle from bottle trek, Pours a cloudy medium amber color. Aromas of hops/hops/sweet malts. Flavor grapefruit with a little sweetness and finishes with a nice bite.
ironchefscott (341), portland, Oregon, USA Apr 24, 2008 It seems like an ok version of an english ipa.....not so great....and a bit lacking in hop aroma and complexity for the style.... DougShoemaker (2855), Toronto, Canada Apr 6, 2008 Aroma is orange/piney hops with a fine malt too, orange/copper, small off-white head. Piney taste to start, citrus, and sone decent malt. Medium bodied, pleasant bitterness, balanced. Very good. Thank You tiggmtl and mds.
