Naven (864), Poway, California, USA Dec 30, 2007 Bottle from kenb, I believe. Pretty nice IPA, although nothing stood out here. Fairly hoppy and clean tasting, but it lacked some freshness. Probably should have been consumed a couple months ago. pepsican (884), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA Dec 24, 2007 poured a slightly cloudy amber with a thick white head. Aroma has a bit of hops, malt, and an alley. Flavor is similar with citrus added. Almost has a skunked flavor. Creamy and slightly bittersweet. Decent but odd for an IPA. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Dec 21, 2007 Light hoppy aroma, some slight pine notes. the flavour is VERY well balanced between the hops, and the malt. One of themore balanced IPA’s i’ve had. I’m more of a hop bomb IPA fan.but this is extremely drinkable, dangerous even. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 4, 2007 Bottle. Ratebeer Christmas in Oshawa, December 2007. Golden orange body with a small white head. Moderate hoppy aroma with light resin and citrus is a very nice change of pace for the evening. Flavour has an odd overall impression, something different about
the resin, and grapefruit notes that are just a bit astringent. Average palate.
JHunter (242), British Columbia, Canada Nov 30, 2007 light flavored strong fruity notes with a copper colour and medium head. enjoyable flavor Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Nov 26, 2007 Richmond "industry" gathering, and my unintentional 1700th as I blew past that mark without even noticing during the event. Medium orange amber, light haze. Aroma was a nice blend of earth, floral, and citric hops. Flavor matched, and was an almost perfect balance of caramel malt and earth, floral, and citric hops. Very well done. Capa (955), Yokosuka, Japan Nov 19, 2007 More golden than I was expecting. Clear with a large, off-white head. Nice, citrus hops, caramel, pine, floral, grapefruit, and fruity aroma. Syrupy body, carbonated body. Flavor is full of citrus and some pine notes. Caramel malts linger in the background with a sweet malts coming through fairly strong. Finish gets pretty bitter. Though I found this rather enjoyable it’s nothing exceptional. I would have it again though, and I guess thats all that matters. bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA Nov 16, 2007 Bomber. Aroma of floral hops and near caramel malts. Coppery amber color with a fairly non-existent white head. Medium body, mild carbonation. Nice floral hop with some sweet caramel malt, followed by grapefruit and pine. The finish is fairly dry and has nicely persisting grapefruit and bitter. Really good ale.
