copper with a white head that is long lasting as a rim around the glass. nose medium hops, not much grapefruit bot some More of the grainy part of hops. the taste is full, more hops than in the nose but again, more of those grains. add some malts and this goes from mediocre to great. harrisoni (6771), Ashford, Kent, England
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 18, 2006 On tap at Elysian, Seattle. Copper, lasting beige head. Very drinkable. Aromatic amarillo hops. Nice hop up front on aroma, not outrageous, then they kick in. It’s ridiculously drinkable. Hops are intense, but more aromatic than some IPAs. Some bitterness, not sweet or sticky and quite clean. lukin013 (211), Columbia, Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Pours a dark orange copper color. Fluffy off-white head with good lacing. Heavy citrus nose. Flavor is excellently balanced between citrus hops and sweet toffee malts. Very thick and creamy mouthfeel different from most IPAs. Very unique and very delicious. Thanks to Indiana_Red for the bottle. IrishBoy (2705), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Bottle. Small white lasting head. Golden orange colour, slightly hazy. Slightly citrusy aroma, reminded me of tangerines. Balanced flavour, not heavily hoppy like many IPAs. Almost like a Cape ale. Crisp finish, again like a Cape ale. Good with braai, sushi or a session after a long day. patrick767 (2019), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2006 tap at the brewpub - Pours golden and lightly hazy with a thin, lasting head. There’s a good citrus hops aroma and a better hoppy taste that’s well balanced by some caramel malts. Enjoy the crisp, hoppy finish. Very good IPA. Ughsmash (3999), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2006 Bomber. Poured a clear medium golden with a short-lived cap of off-white head. Nose was quite fragrant with dried pine needles, grass, spiked caramel, and some pink grapefruit. Very, very bitter in the flavor department and on the palate... primarily of fresh pine needles and lesser grapefruit... tacky caramel base couldn’t quite hold it up. Bitter pine finish with a bit too much overt alcohol in there. Decent IPA.
