acertain (249), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 8, 2006 For me, just about the perfect IPA. It’s extremely floral and citrusy in the nose, and the flavor is amazingly hoppy (again, floral and citrusy), without being overwhelmingly bitter. I could drink this stuff all day. MartinT (5030), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2006 A veil of foam shrouds the candy orange gown...Soapy, floral, citrusy hops converse with toasted malts...The silky body efficiently transmits the powerful wooden, resinous bitterness...The slender maltiness fails to interest me, but the hoppiness is well-conceived and pleasant... Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2006 Clear golden-copper, large white head, great lacing. The label could also be used as a cheesy Manowar album cover. Hoppy and tangerine nose. Taste is powerful. Rich body, aggressive bitterness (grainy hops) and burnt oranges. All that supported by some malts. Not the juicy floral type of IPA. I seem to like it more than most other people. I like my IPAs to be as brutal as possible and this one satisfied me. GonZoBeeR (2156), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Jun 2, 2006 Aroma:Caramel, grapefruit hops...
Appearance:Clear gold,small head...
Flavor:Good bitterness, caramel, light alcohol flavor... jujubeast6000 (772), Houston, Texas, USA May 31, 2006 Tap @ Tangletown, WA: Pours a golden amber color, slightly cloudy, big white head, smallish bubbles. Very hoppy aroma, sweet, but not too hoppy. Slight bitter taste, very sweet. Nutty. Slight acidic aftertaste. glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA May 17, 2006 One of my favorite drinking IPA’s in the PNW. Very smooth with medium hops and a decent balance. Nothing special, but good. Earlier Rating: 5/17/2006 Total Score: 3.7 Had at the Celtic Bayou a couple months ago. This was tasty, but not quite what I expected. Bitter hoppiness was prominent throughout. I like their regular Immortal better. Not like me to say that about a dry hopped IPA. sandygoonie (27), Seattle, Washington, USA May 13, 2006 Unbelievable IPA. huge huge citrus hop aroma contered with a peppery spicy initial flavor. Smooth almost silky malt and light malt texture. Perfect mouth and perfect finish oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Apr 24, 2006 Pours a cloudy medium amber color. Aromas of hops/hops/sweet malts. Flavor grapefruit with a little sweetness and finishes with a nice bite.
