Light unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, moderate to light heavy hoppy, pine, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Bottled. An amber beer with some sediment floating around under a beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, fruit - primarily peaches, hay, and dusty hops. Not that exciting.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with an almost fully gone head. Dry pinewood hops aroma. Dry wooden and crisp hoppy flavoured. Smooth bitter and fruity finish.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear deep golden. Aroma of mango and grapefruit. Dry with clean but bold mouthfeel. There are juicy hops, but it ends with ashy bitterness. A good, solid beer, but nothing that stands out amongst the IPAs in the PNW:

Sweet and fruity aroma of hops, spices and pine needles.
Hoppy flavour of fruits, caramel, hops and pine needles.
Dry hoppy finish.

Hazy golden color; medium sized creamy head. Mild toffee and hop aroma, a bit citrusy. Smooth mouthfeel, toffee flavor, respectable bitterness, but not very refreshing. The bitterness is quite aggressive in the end. Not balanced as the bottled version, not refreshing as other IPAs.

Hazy light amber color; small head. The aroma is mild, with some toffee and hops of medium intensity. Very good toffee flavor, with a lean and fairly dry mouthfeel; strong hopping, of good quality, where the mild resins appear more than the fruits; light flavor of apricots. Long and strong final. A good refreshing beer, balanced, not extreme.

Hazy orange with a medium beige head. Aroma had hops, pine and lemons. Flavour was quite hoppy with pine, grapefruits and malty notes. Finished dry and bitter.
