UPDATED: NOV 24, 2013 Serving: from tap at Red Robin Aroma: light pine hop. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with fully diminishing longevity and good lacing. Clear, light-amber body. Taste: moderately bitter and grapefruity initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium bodied with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: excellent. Easy to drink. The grapefruity flavor balances the bitterness very well.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with lots of sediment floating around and a small, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, grapefruit and pine needles. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, grapefruit, orange, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice, well balanced ipa.

6.3%ABV. IPA. Poured out slightly cloudy golden Amber. 8SRM. Nose has very ripe pineapple, pear cider, taffy. Pine and light fresh herbs. Mouthfeel is light soap. Palate has malt, but not heavy, might have wanted a slightly more prominent malt body with more biscuit and graham cracker to give the hop flavor more breadth. Hops are herbaceous bitter, pine needles. Finish is medium, strongly bitter with a nice clean fade.

Bottle pours a hazy golden orange with a two finger white head and massive lacing. Floral aroma with caramel malty notes. Tastes sweet and surprisingly a bit sour on the swallow, floral with a substantial malty backbone. Medium bitterness with a decent aftertaste.

First Elysian beer for me! Its pretty good. Nice frothy head. Slightly hazy. Aroma is citrus, metallic. Flavor is a bit dank, citrusy, and maybe just a tiny bit metallic. Palate is sticky oily. Id like to try others from them.
