Smell can best be described as hops and faint pine needles. Tastes hoppy with a slight detection of pine needles and carbonation. Has a nice bite to it. An above average IPA. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours a thin white head with extensive lacing, over a clear coppery gold (SRM 10) body.....nose is grapefruit, pine, toffee.....taste initially is slightly sweet malts, with toffee, then hops arrive with pineapple, grapefruit, pine and a mild lingering bitterness....mouth feel is medium heavy, carbonation a little bigger than many. An IPA for sure, done with a slightly lighter hop hand then many from the "Left Coast". This is a bit more English in style, except that these are American hops we are tasting. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Bottle (660ml). Pours a clear, bubbly copper-gold with an average size mostly-lasting frothy white head. Nice aroma of fruit and resiny hops along with caramel malt in the background -- simple but pleasant. Flavour of resiny hops is maybe a little thin, a touch spicy and a little overly simple -- it could have more going on but it’s easy to drink and tasty enough. More then average bitter finish. Medium bodied. A fine IPA, I easily drank a bomber and would have it again. TomDecapolis (3222), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2006 Poured from a bomber. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with an average foamy off white head that laced and sustained. Aroma was of lighter citrus (orange), caramel. Nice balanced aroma but a little light. Flavor of grapefruit, bitter hops, some malty sweetness to balance. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Nice aroma of grapefruit and pine over caramel malts. Flavor contains lots of hop flavors, grapefruit, pine, some pineapple, and a touch of malt, biscuit and caramel. Pretty well balanced and an easy drinker. The beer is well carbonated but not overly so. Medium body. I enjoyed this one. puzzl (2661), New York, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Bomber. Puckering peachy astringent aroma, fresh but grainy, lacking in citrus. Head is absolutely enormous; I’m on probably the 7th or 8th pour now into my pint glass and I’ve still got a good quarter bottle left. Simply can’t get it out without overflowing the glass. I did manage to get the head a good 2" above the glass though, that was pretty sweet. Flavor is quite bitter, drys the mouth like a pumello, has a mild chocolately flavor and tongue scraping hoppy finish.
