Bomber from jake65 - thanks, Jake! Sweet aroma hops, big time PNW grapefruit and lychee and faint pine with a decidedly more exotic touch: big-time mango! Touch of rubbing alcohol. Excitable brew, inches and inches of long-lasting whitish head, orange body. Taste is extremely fruity and hoppy, floral and perfumed, but the bitterness level is low and the dry aftertaste resounds with fresh-baked bread and earthy caramel. An interesting combination. Citrus is really amped. Bit of dust and white pepper. Perfect session body with a little prickling carbonation and some interesting hop/resin-based texture. A touch too sweet for volume drinking, but I’m not worried about over-scoring. A lot of flavor here, and very appealing.

Pours a orange/golden colour, with a thin white foamy head. The aroma is fresh, citrus hops, orange candy, lemon peel. The flavour is a reflection of the aroma, it’s lighter on the tongue than expected, but it’s really good, light, drinkable, entertaining.

Pours hazy dark orange with almost no head. Orange citrus aroma with solid malt in the background. Light sweet, medium bitter flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation, thin-creamy texture, and a dry bitter finish. Solid.

Very nice straightforward IPA to session, bursting with delicate hop flavors of sweet grass and mint, very controlled bitterness which works well here. Palate is similarly friendly while having a tingle of bitter dryness and a note of lemon. Impressive package. Will re-buy to enjoy in quantity.

This beer has a mild nose; more like a lager than an IPA. Likely no dry-hopping. Pours straw colored. Taste of darker malt than the cor would suggest. Hop is bitter without a lot of complexity. There is an unpleasant astringent note. The best thing about those beer is the finish. At the end is balance and a long lingering hop/malt flavor. Overall a middling IPA.

355mL bottle from the eLCeeBe-Oh singles. Ironic that I finally find one of the new IPA’s at the lickbow I could actually drink a ton of and it’s only a single bottle. Pours an otherwise clear goldish orage with loads of floating hoppy bits (could also be yeast chunks). Aroma is quite nice, some pine upfront but otherwise kind of British in character, with a hop emphasis. Flavour has a nice pleasing hop flavour but with the slightly richer malt body that adds support rather than getting in the way of the hops (something I appreciate). Amidst the abundance of IPA’s released at the likbo as of late, this is definitely one of the better ones from my taste-perspective.

Hazy orange pour with a thin but lasting head. Nose is hop filled. Very mellow and enjoyable IPA. You won’t hear that from me often. Very easy to drink. Not at all harsh while still having that strong pale ale hope quality. Very level beer. Best IPA I’ve had tonight.

It pours golden hay coloured with a slight reddish hue, there are large chunks of lees floating about in it; the head is off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: mangos, biscuit, and grapefruit. The taste is medium bitter; there are notes of: grapefruit, orange, tropical fruits, and alcohol. The palate is medium bodied, has medium carbonation, a slight stickiness, and a long bitter finish. Overall, a decent IPA.

Another good West Coast IPA. The label looks different today then that posted on this site. Maybe needs an update.

Bottle from Wegman’s Williamsport. Pours golden with a thin white head. A bit of floral on the nose. A bit piney on the tongue with a nice rush of bitterness on the finish. Solid but not spectacular.

355 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a lightly cloudy golden colour with average white head and lots of really large floaties. Solid but not overwhelming piney/citric hops in the aroma. Flavour has strong resiny/piney hops with some citrusy notes and solid caramel malt. Decently bitter finish. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite drinkable - hoppy without being a bomb.
