Clear, brown amber body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head and a thick lace coating. Same grainy rye and crusty bread yeast continues in flavour with a long finish. Medium-full body is a little boozy. Interesting. jlf278 (254), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 1, 2008 On tap, was just what I was looking for. Pretty mild in most areas, though it has a great light body and full head. The flavor showcases bitter hops without being too bitter. Not my favorite style, but definitely would order again. killjoy966 (219), Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 30, 2008 One of my favorites out of the sampler at the Elysian brewpub. An example of moderation, not too harsh, not too mellow; not too fizzy, not too carbonated, etc. Left me wishing I had ordered a full glass. Changus (13), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Bronze with big head that laces like a like your white-washing the glass. Strict quick hop hit with a good balance at the end. Nice ESB. HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Draft pint at Humpy’s. Rusty red, the color borders on bronze. The head is quite gluey, leaving a curtain-like wall down the glass. This comes across very tea-like overall -- leafy and bitter. If it were hot, you might convince me this was Earl Grey.
