| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2006 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & mds -- my bottle. Pours a clear copper-orange with an average size mostly lasting off-white head. Nice aroma of piney hops, earthy malt and bready yeast. Flavour of toasty caramel malt, a good amount of hops (especially for an ESB) and yeast. Long bitter finish. Medium bodied.
This is a really good ESB, it’s probably a little hoppy for the style but that’s cool with me. patrick767 (2019), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 18, 2006 Butterscotch, caramel and toffee dominate the sweet and yeasty aroma. Clear brown body is topped by a low, off white head that lasts well. Caramel and toffee flavours are joined by mild citrus and earthy hops and gentle bitterness. Diacetyl though notable is less apparent than in the nose. Medium light body is somewhat slick in texture with rather low carbonation. Sampled at Mondial 2006.
