On tap at Elysian, Seatte. Red/brown with thin beige. Earthy hop aroma. Lots of hop. Some good malt but then a huge chunk of hop on end. The 3 Cs I guess. Nice, but my god, the hops.

22oz bottle. Poured a darker and hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Some small floaters. Aromas of caramel, bread, with some hop presence (pine). Tastes of stronger pine, grapefruit, roasted malts and lighter caramel. Lacing left on the glass. Another ESB that reminded me more of an IPA (but that’s fine in my book).

Straight amber, 1cm off-white head of regularly shaped bubbles. Earthy, salty and quite mineral nose shows rather brash hoppiness that speaks of the weakness of the caramel maltiness underneath. Dryish and rather dusty flavour profile grows quite metallic toward the finish. Light-medium body, medium carbonation. A bit ordinary.

Bottle... Clear orange ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head and thousands of small, white floaties suspended within. Good retention. Sweet, pink grapefruit aroma. Medium sweet flavor with an herbal, black tea bitterness. Medium-bodied and chewy with moderate carbonation. Sweet finish with gentle grapefruit. Thanks to kenb for the bottle!
