3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
West USA trip 2010. On tap at the brewpub. The aroma is grassy and flowery. Clear, yellow-golden coloured beer with a quite creamy, white head. The taste is bitter, bit malty and has the grassy flowery hops everywhere. Crisp with a dry end. Good pils.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draught at WA Brewers Festival, 2014. Pours a hazy dark golden color. Nose is filled with corn and grains, and seems relatively unremarkable for me. Taste seems exactly like every other lager, and was wholly unremarkable. Just not my thing.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tastes more like an American wheat, but with a more hopped finish. European hops are noticable, but not full bodied enough.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Fuller in appearance than most pilseners--tangerine in color and well carbonated. The aroma is rather skunky, though after some time, spicing is more detectable. This is a moderately complex pilsner with some piny/hoppy components. Fairly smooth with some positive qualities, but the smell detracts from the experience.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
5 ounce sample on tap at Tangletown Publick House in Seattle. Citrus, perfumey, floral aroma. I also detect some slight lemon-like acidity. Doesn’t smell overly like a pils, but aroma is decent, nonetheless. Transparent golden color with a frothy whitish head and really nice lacing. Hoppy bitter start with more floral hops present. Dought and biscuity malts in the middle with a bit of lingering bitter hops to finish. Very hoppy, doesn’t really seem like a true pils to me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shaker pint draft at Wild Ginger in Seattle, Washington. Pour is deep golden, almost orangish. Small white head. Aroma of fruit and straw hops, followed by grainy maltiness. Nice fresh nose. Taste has a nice grainy maltiness, with the floral, apple fruit and straw hoppiness. Palate is thin to medium, crisp and clean. Nice Pils.

Tap at brewpub. Phone rate. Pours a clear golden with a small offwhite head. Nice lace. Notes of stomped hay, dirty toast, lemongrass, and bread. Crisp. Good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Blind Tiger. Major diacetyl here as this warms, especially in the flavor. Becomes undrinkable. Light hops at least partly cover up the butter. Tastes like bud with some decent czech hops added. Terrible.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2004 (22 oz bottle) A rather light flavored pilsener, which is surprising for a Pacific Northwest beer; Still, this is at least a dry, hops balanced pilsener in the PNW style, with a moderately bitter and dry finish; Fairly hoppy, and lightly malty nose; Light golden in color; Massively carbonated head when poured is off-white in color and very bubbly, and is supported by a fairly steady assault of carbonation bubbles, but as it gradually dies down, a large mesa-like formation is created by the head, and dense patches of lacing are left on the glass
