The gentlest of the sylvan deities, embodied in the western wind which blows across the Elysian fields. Bittered with German Northern Brewer and finished with Czech Saaz hops.

Nice dry crisp aroma. A good dry flavor, with a strong crisp finish. This is a great easy-drinking session lager. Excellent dry lager.

Tap at brewpub. Phone rate. Pours a clear golden with a small offwhite head. Nice lace. Notes of stomped hay, dirty toast, lemongrass, and bread. Crisp. Good.

Pours clean bright yellow, finger white head. Smell simple wet grain and lager yeast. Taste a bit hoppy, grain and bread. Light body. Simple but good.

Pint at Growl Movement in S.Salem. $4. Pours a typical pilsner light gold ,small white head. Nice aromas of grassy hop and biscuit malts..pleasing. Taste again is to style but on the fruitier side, nice hop profile. Good drinkable palate..not to thin but goes down a treat. Good pilsner..very drinkable.

Draft at Elysian Fields. Pours medium gold, crystal clear, with definite bubble columns rising. Moussy thick white film. Kind of a mess on the nose--butter and dust and not so much of the grass that would be so nice to find here. Mid-palate is full and lovely with lots of spice and pepper and grass. Clean and easy drinking like a pils, but has sooo much American hop across the finish--a nice, clean, lingering cling, that.

Gorgeous color of peach nectar--slightly hazy with wonderful cratered head that had peaks like an Alaskan ice floe. Aroma is of young fresh hops and very slight yeastiness--interesting but almost strident. This is aggressively hopped for a pilsener, but has plenty of body beneath the assertive top-end. I only wish the malt provided more of a flavor counterpoint to the prevailing bitterness. The finish is quite clean, mildly dry and with Saaz spice hints. An interesting beer with unusual characteristics for a pilsener. If the flavor balance were a bit more malt-biased, this would be a top contender.

pours with a large, creamy head; light amber, dull, slightly hazy body, esp. for a pils; light grapefruit and grassy hop and a touch of malty sweetness in the aroma; decebt and balanced flavor: mellow, tasty, earthy and floral, nice bitter finish; moderate body.

Very good for the style. A very smooth german style pils.. not a lot of hops. I stll prefer the Urquell for the balanced hops, but this beer was very drinkable and had a nice unoffensive flavor. Not something to blow you away, but that is typical of the Pilsner style. A very nice selection.
