Einfach in Ordnung.

Bottle from trade with beerhunter111 - many thanks! The Pils pours out in a clear golden colour with low steady head and medium body. Aroma of hops and straw. Tasteof mild hops, citrus, grass, dust and bread. Malty-sweet finish with some bitter hints. Nice and easy to drink, refreshing.

33cl fliptop, local Getränkemarkt. Another characteristically naturtrübes Pils from the SouthWest profonde im Schwarzwald. Pours a beautiful murky golden with large head, sparkles when fresh. Upfront delicate Tettnang hop aroma, harmoniously complemented by smooth water and dry crisp pale malts. Modest homemade Pilsner, along with Ganter Urtrunk, Feierling Inselhop and Waldhaus Ohne Filter Herb one of the more aromatic and characteristic, small-scale Pilsners of the SW.

Clear golden with a medium white head. Grassy hops in the aroma along with malty and caramel notes. Flavour was sweet with hoppy and malty notes. Finished bitter.

(swing top bottle, 33cl, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Yeasty and slightly sweaty pale malty aroma with traces of honey and herbal hops. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly malty base with yeasty notes and a present hops character; quite dry and moderately hop bitter finish with lingering herbal notes. Pleasant but I prefer the matured version. 18.I.12

Pours hazy golden with a medium head. Smells like yeast and flowers. Tastes quite yeasty, malty (a bit of caramel) and at the end with a pleasent bitterness. Full bodied, medium carbonization. A good one!

Bügelverschlußflasche (Quack-Duck hat’s gefunden!): Hazy, golden, smaller white head, lazy carbonation, moderate dry bitter-hoppy nose with a small amount of malt underneath; solid bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and pretty soft; lingering dryish hoppy and malty finish with some "edges". Very good, but the filtered version is slightly better rounded......

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy golden beer with good head. Nose is hopy and malty. A very nice pilsner with pleasant malt and cereal notes, quite sweet, intense hops bouquet on citrus and hay. High bitterness and very nice perfume. On on the best pils I had, long bitter and pleasant aftertaste, good !

My Bottom Line :
Wildflower honey angles ride this dry German Pilsener’s frothy effervescence until peppery, herbal hops delicately appose their unmistakable signature on the finish.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A tower of foam protects the misty golden.
-The high level of effervescence and relative dryness makes for a quenching brew.
-This may not be as intricate as the Rothaus Pils, but it is very well made and is not your stereotypical, run-of-the-mill recipe. House character is quite pleasant.
-The nose is rather devoid of personality. Perhaps an early sign of aging? This swing-top bottle surely can’t help…
-The finishing hoppiness is levelled with the rest of the brew’s mild intensity.

Bottle.
