Bottle, got with help from Humlebingen blog, thanks Kenneth! Citrus pulp and lots of floral (elderflower) notes, in addition to the rather restrained smoke. Rose aftertaste. Atypical yet interesting and likeable. What I found a bit disturbing was the light tartness in this beer that - definitely not a result of spoilage or bad brewing - tasted intentional but at the same time out of place. As if the brewer feared a typical grodziskie might be too mild, so it would have to be enlivened by said tartness. Well, it wouldn’t have to. Drinkable but it has potential to be more than just that.

On tap at Cafe Sara, april 15th 2014. Unclear golden body, tiny white head. Slightly sour aroma with mild smoke, tart fruitness, citrus. Taste of citrus fruits, smoked meat, tartness, medium bitter and smoky finish. Quite unusual (for me at least) and interesting.

Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Poured a hazy straw, with a thin white head and some lacing. Aroma was quite light, but with notes of tart fruit, pineapple, cooked apple and smoke. Mango sweetness in the flavour, with some sour fruit and a slight medicinal hint. Finish was iodine, bready malt and passionfruit.

Bottle at home . It pours lightly hazy gold with a decent white head. The nose is smokey, meaty, sweet, parma violets, sherbet and light citrus. The taste is smooth, tart, smoke, limeade, lemon, smoked ham, grain, light sherbet and minerals with a dry finish. Light body and soft, mellow carbonation carbonation. This style is always gonna an unusual one, but the balance works for me. Enjoyable in its own way.

0,33 l bottle from Matkroken Stokka. Pours a muddy yellow golden body with a large white head leaving a dense layer of lacing. Salty, smokey and wooden nose. Citric acid and smokey flavors gives way to more cereal notes. Medium bodied.
