Hazy pale golden pour with an ok white head that ends up in a thin layer. Ok lacing. The aroma are quite interesting and strange. Mild peat. Salt and mild malty with some citrus notes. Ok medium body and a moderate sweetness. Quite ok bitterness and an average carbonation. The flavor are like the aroma. Quite fresh with a fine citric peel. Mild peat, mild malty and salty. A fine summer drink this one.

Bottle. Pours light hazy dark yellow with a big creamy head. Aroma is rather on the strange side with salty and smoked meat, sausage water and roasted malts with grain and caramel. Medium body with full texture and quite soft carbonation. Flavour is salt and lightly smoked malts, with some notes of barnyard and light sour notes of hay giving a tart and earthy finish. Pretty strange, can I have another one?

On tap at the BeerTemple. Clear very pale gold pour with white head. Aroma is smoky, citrusy, lemony, a tad bready, light gastric aromas but they are quite light. Taste is light, light acidity, soured grain, lemon juice, very light mineral / salty flavor. Palate is very light with light-med carbonation. Really easy drinking.

On tap @ BeerTemple. Clear yellow with a small disappearing white head and little lacing. Aroma is mostly of smoked malt, but there’s also some grassy notes and light pineapple. Taste is also mostly smokey with a nice touch of acidity, grassy notes and light tropical fruits. Light body. Moderate carbonation. Fresh and refreshing. Tasty. I liked this one.

Bottle. Pale gold. Weird. Citrus, medicine, thin body, the sharp medical edge is in control.

0.33l bottle. Looks fairly OK this will help a blurry kinda pale-ish golden body and a small but both lasting and lacing egg shell white colored head. It has a clear mild smoky nose this. Soft cured beef with nuts, hay, lots of old cellared cheese, some faint yeast and a little hint of vanilla. Not mine kind of aroma (or beer genre to be honest) but it’s nice enough for what it actually is. Fresh taste. It has a surprising citric freshness that I did not expect at all! It’s almost acidic in a way. Like lemonade. The faint smokiness is definitely present in the taste as well - especially in the aftertaste. It feels a bit thin but not directly watery in the mouth and it’s gentle on the bubbles. Have to say that it was a nice little surprise this, but i still have to say that I’m no huge fan of the genre. Yet. 26.04.2014
