On tap at Cafe Sara
Golden clear, white head. Smell of smoke and sausage, tart fruits, some malts as well. Moderate sweet, a smoky touch, hints of sausage, a bit tart. Moderate bitter finish. Very interesting beer and style. It’s not like gose at all; it’s smoky and tart. Very refreshing and probably supert on a hot day. And the best thing of them all, the low abv makes this a good session

Strange beer. Bit sourish and stingy, with a slightly salty note. Body bit too thin. Feels uncompleted.

Bottle at home. Has a slightly hazy straw color, and a small, off-white colored foam. The aroma is marked by smoke, pale malt, motor oil, barn and some citrus. Really special aroma on this. Lime tones is evident in the taste along with more sweet smoked meat, sweet malt and bread in the aftertaste. Mouth feel is tart, light and smooth, and has a low bitterness. Basically this is a beer that combines smoke, engine oil and citrus, and I do not know if this is my favorite combination in a beer.

200ml on tap, ølbrett menu, at Cafe Sara. Crystal clear, pale golden body. Tiny white head. Modest aroma of smoked malty, half-dry. Flavours of bacon, oyster, grass and citrus towards the ending. Medium to thin bodied. Fair enough, not that exciting (Oslo 22.04.2014).

DAA; Pours hazy golden with a lasting, lacing white head. Aroma is light malt, fruit, citrus and grass. Taste is light sweet, light bitter with light spice something, moderate light something light citrusy lasting. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, towards flat. Interesting.

330 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow colour with a white firm head. Aroma of smoke, soured milk, weed and railway breaks. Flavour of pale malts, salt water, rubber, mild smoke, quite a bit of grainy notes and citrus. Light bodied and a mild, sour, grainy finish. A bit unclean and it gets even worse when the yeast is poured in.

14.04.2014, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is mostly something in between of burnt rubber, overheated hydraulic oil and overheated worn / burnt clutch, also hints of weeds, light malts and cereal. Strange!! Taste is slightly sour-ish grainy, sorrel, lightly smoked light malts, wet grain, salt, burnt rubber, hay, cereal, minerals, hydraulic oil. Little bitterness, slightly dry grainy mouthfeel. Fair enough, kind of interresting.
